Position Overview:
As a Line Cook at Stereo 41, you are responsible for executing your station with excellence, handling daily mise-en-place, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness. You’ll work closely with the culinary team to prepare, cook, and present dishes with skill, consistency, and care. This role demands focus, agility, and a deep respect for ingredients and technique.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain daily mise-en-place for your station
Execute dishes consistently according to recipes and plating standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area and walk-in
Uphold all food safety, health department, and kitchen hygiene standards
Assist with large-scale prep as needed across stations
Work efficiently in a high-pressure, high-volume environment
Demonstrate a strong understanding of various cooking techniques, including sautéing, grilling, frying, and vegetable and meat cookery
Contribute to a positive team culture and kitchen morale
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of professional kitchen experience (fine dining preferred)
Culinary degree a plus, but not required
ServSafe certified with strong food safety knowledge
Proficient in basic knife skills and kitchen techniques
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Self-motivated, dependable, and eager to learn
