Lead Server / Floor Lead — Philomena (East Oakland)

Philomena is a high-volume neighborhood pizza spot with a loyal following, strong systems, and a tight-knit crew.

We’re looking for a Lead Server who wants more than just shifts — someone ready to run the floor, lead a small team, and take ownership of service every shift.

This is a hands-on leadership role in a small, fast-moving restaurant where your decisions actually matter.

What This Role Is

You’re not just taking tables — you’re setting the tone for the entire room.

On a typical shift, you’ll:

• Run the floor during peak service
• Keep the team focused, organized, and moving
• Make real-time calls on pacing and guest flow
• Communicate clearly with BOH during service
• Step in wherever needed to keep things smooth

Schedule (Approximate / Subject to Change Slightly)

• Thursday–Saturday evenings
  ~3:00/6:00 PM starts – 9:30/11:15 PM finishes
• Sunday Brunch
  ~10:00 AM – 2:00/4:00 PM
• 25–40 hours/week

Consistent weekend availability is required.
You’ll work alongside a co-lead to maintain coverage and consistency.

Pay

• $19/hr + tips (typically $5–$25/hr additional)
• Strong, consistent weekend income

This is a small team environment:

• No dedicated host, busser, or expo most nights
• You’ll handle service end-to-end alongside 1–2 other team members
• It’s fast-paced, physical, and requires focus
