Philomena is a busy neighborhood pizza restaurant in East Oakland focused on strong service, steady systems, and a loyal customer base. We are hiring a Lead Server to anchor our weekend evening shifts.
This is not an entry-level role.
We are looking for someone confident, reliable, and comfortable leading a floor during high-volume service.
Consistent weekend night availability is mandatory.
Due to Lead responsibilities, this role has limited shift-swap flexibility. You will work closely with a Co-Lead to cover each other when needed.
This role is designed for someone seeking consistent weekend income and leadership responsibility.
Servers and Leads are responsible for end-to-end service. On most nights there is no dedicated host, busser, or expo. You will handle greeting, service, POS entry, running food, clearing tables, and closing duties—either solo or with one (sometimes two) other team members on shift.
We are locally owned and team-focused. We value consistency, accountability, and long-term crew members—not shift fillers.
